Yobe Govt Calls For Establishment Of More Police Outposts In Border Communities

Yobe State Government has asked for the establishment of more Police outposts in communities bordering Niger Republic.

Governor Ibrahim Gaidam made the request, when he met with Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, in Damaturu, the state’s capital.

The Governor, represented by his Deputy, Abubakar Aliyu, also sought the deployment of more Police officers and men to enhance general security, law and order.

He commended the deployment of Police in schools, and wants them to work in synergy with the people.

The IGP has been on assessment tour of security coverages of schools in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe States.

The tour is to ensure that abductions similar to those of Chibok and Dapchi, do not occur again.

The IGP also addressed officers and men at the Yobe State Command Headquarters, where he told them to be professional and avoid negative tendencies.
