Uber drivers in Lagos have gone on strike in a bid to express their anger against the recently implemented 40% slash on fair prices by the digital cab-hailing platform.
The drivers’ major concerns include; Uber’s alleged decision to retain its 25% fee while slashing fair prices by 40%, the absence of insurance policy for drivers, & proper rider verification.
After a meeting in which all drivers agreed to down tools to express their discomfort with the platform, a decision to also hit the streets of Lagos in a peaceful protests was reached.
