A socio-political group, Osun Positive Force (OPF) has commiserated with the Adeleke family, Government and people of the State of Osun, the Senate and the entire people of the Federal Republic of Nigeria over the death of Senator Isiaka Adeleke.
In a statement personally signed by the convener of the group, Dr. Ajibola Basiru, OPF stated that Senator Isiaka Adeleke’s demise came at a time the “state needed his political experience, tenacity and courage the most to position the state and the country at large on the path of sustainable growth and development.”
While acknowledging the pioneering works of the late senator in laying the foundation for the overall development of the state during his short period in office as governor in the aborted third republic, the group appreciated the late Adeleke’s “enthusiasm, pragmatism and unswerving contributions to robust legislations, especially on electoral justice and promotion of democratic ethos” as a senator.
The group further stated: “His death is a deep loss to the good people of Osun and Nigeria, and we commiserate with the Adeleke family, the good people of Ede and the Government and people of the State of Osun, the Senate and the entire people of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, on the death of this illustrious personality and pray Almighty Allah to grant his soul eternal rest”.
