Luis Suarez warns Malaga’s Sandro to show some respect after stunning display downs former club Barcelona… but the Malaga man bites back: ‘Malaga feeds me now’

As Sandro Ramirez celebrated after masterminding Malaga’s 2-0 victory over former club Barcelona, Luis Suarez was quick to try and put the Spanish youngster in his place.
Sandro scored the opening goal against his old club before Jony added a second, which did serious damage to the Catalan giants’ title aspirations but almost certainly ensured Malaga’s survival.

But as the players left the pitch at the end of the game, Sandro, who left Barcelona in the summer, was approached by Suarez who was quick to remind the 21-year-old where his football education was served.

But Sandro was having none of it as he pledged his loyalty to his current employers and issued Suarez with a stark reminder that he had taken his talents elsewhere.

‘Don’t forget the hand that fed you’, Suarez said, according to El Chiringuito.

Speaking after the game, Sandro apologised if any of his former team-mates or fans had been offended by his goal celebration, and thanked his old club for everything they had done for him.

‘To be honest, I don’t think I over-celebrated, it was just a normal celebration given how important winning the game was for us,’ Sandro told Movistar.

‘I can only say that if I am anyone in football, it’s thanks to Barcelona. They treated me amazingly there and I will remember that for my whole life.

‘But now I’m indebted to Malaga and it was a really important goal. But if [the celebration] offended anyone, I apologise. I was really happy.’

Barcelona’s loss leaves them three points behind great rivals Real Madrid in their search for the La Liga title, while Malaga moved 11 clear of the drop zone with victory.
