Senator Buruji Kashamu is dead, Tosinadeda Media has gathered.
Kashamu, according to sources died as a result of multiple organ failure, after contracting COVID-19.
The former lawmaker was moved to First Cardiology hospital after his health condition worsened following his bout with COVID-19.
A graduate of the University of Lagos, Kashamu represented Ogun East Senatorial district in the 8th National Assembly.
He was the governorship candidate of the PDP in Ogun State in the 2019 general elections.
