The Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, on Tuesday, stunned Nigeria’s National Football team, Super Eagles with an unexpected visit.
Senator Saraki visited the Russia 2018 World Cup-bound Super Eagles contingent where they were camped in Abuja, ahead of their meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Senate President explained via his Twitter handle that the visit was to encourage the team ahead of their friendly match against England this weekend.
He said he also wished them all the best, and even greater success in the upcoming World Cup tournament in Russia.
Dr Saraki was received at the camp by President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick, and Eagles Captain Mikel Obi, among others.
