Ahead of the burial of the slain National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) strong man, Chief Rasaq Bello aka Hamburger, scheduled to hold today, Friday, June 2, 2017, security operatives have issued an advise to motorists plying the Oshodi axis of Lagos.
The warning from the security operatives is as a result of the planned reprisal attack by loyalists of the slain NURTW kingpin who passed away after he was shot on Monday, May 29, 2017, during the primaries of a political party in Oshodi.
According to information from officers attached to Akinpelu Police Station, Bolade – Oshodi and the Oshodi branch of NURTW, members of the public plying the Oshodi axis are advised to be vigilant ahead of the burial scheduled for later this afternoon.
Motorists and commuters are advised to use alternative routes to access their various destinations in order to avoid been caught in a crossfire, if any.
Meanwhile, it was learnt that the wife of the deceased, Alhaja Abolore Bello arrived Lagos on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, in company of her first daughter, Kafayat, ahead of the burial of her husband.
Before his death, 49-year-old Chief Rasaq Bello, was the chairman of the Lagos State Motorcycles Owners Association in Oshodi. His wife and four children live abroad but she returned with only her first child for the burial.
