Telecoms company, 9mobile, and Mobihealth International, a telemedicine provider have partnered to launch free COVID-19 online screening and teleconsultation service for all Nigerians.
Commenting on the partnership, founder of Mobihealth, Dr. Funmi Adewara, a UK-based physician and Cambridge trained bioscience entrepreneur, explained that combating the pandemic requires the concerted efforts of all including governments, corporates and public-spirited individuals, hence the partnership with 9mobile.
“We are bringing together qualified doctors across multiple specialties including Cardiologists, Orthopedic Surgeons, Pediatricians, Ophthalmologists, Urologists, Oncologists, amongst others, from Nigeria and across the world. Also commenting, Executive Director, Regulatory & Corporate Affairs at 9mobile, Abdulrahman Ado, explained that the support given to Mobihealth International would help with teleconsultation and screening of Nigerians during the COVID-19 crisis.
