Players in the Agric sector have commended Cellulant Corporation for deploying solutions that have helped to reduce inefficiency and wastages in Nigeria and Africa’s Agric value-chain.
The agri-tech firm operational in Nigeria and 19 other African countries recently unveiled its improved payment and market place solutions, Tingg and Agrikore.
While Tingg is a payment solution accessible to everyone, Agrikore is an innovative platform built on blockchain technology that has simplified and connected all players in the agriculture sector.
While commending Agrikore, a community aggregator, Abubakar Kabir, said it had made connections and transactions in the Agric value-chain faster, more comfortable and transparent.
“Agrikore has made transactions between us easier. We previously took cash to farmers, but we now pay them through e-wallet. Farmers bring their produce and instantly receive alert for payment. Tingg and Agrikore have made things easier for us because they reduce the gap between farmers and processors. Farmers sell easily and fast while the processors get goods on time to process,” Kabir said.
A transporter and chairman of AUSAM Nigeria Limited, Abubakar Usman, was also full of praise for Cellulant’s technological solutions, noting that they are game-changers for people in the Agric value chain.
“Doing business with Cellulant is great because they use technology and pay us promptly, unlike some other companies that owe us endlessly. Their system is automated, particularly Agrikore. You receive your payment once you deliver products to the company you are assigned. This enhances transparency and trust as everyone on the platform is aware of what’s happening,” Usman said.
Agro Commodities Procurement Officer for Olam in Northern Nigeria, Oluwafemi Kukoye, also hailed the company’s excellent working relationship with Cellulant.
He disclosed that it had boosted its market penetration efforts. “The coming of Cellulant has given us deeper market penetration and a larger market share. We have been able to reach out to more farmers, working with them. We can increase our stock level and meet targets because they are reliable. Things will only get better with Agrikore, and I’m positive it will benefit not just Cellulant and Olam, but every other stakeholder.”
In the last 15 years, Cellulant Corporation has actively contributed to connecting all critical stakeholders in the Agric value chain, who in the past never interacted with each other, using technology.
It built Tingg and Agrikore, a marketplace and payments platform that provides access to markets, digital financial services, and opens opportunities for all stakeholders to collaborate better and capture the $50b market opportunity in Africa’s Agric sector.
